Course Outline
FFA
Joining and participating in FFA activities will help you get the most out of your education. The FFA has something for everyone. Find an activity that interests you and pursue it. If you are in this class or any other Agriscience class you are an FFA Member, your dues have been paid, and you can participate in all FFA Activities if you are in good standing. GET INVOLVED!!!
Classroom Rules:
Materials needed
All students will need:
Lockers and combination locks will be assigned in the shop to store project work. Lost locks will cost $5.00
Grading scale:
A 93-100 A- 90-92 B+ 88-89 B 83-87 B- 80-82
C+ 78-79 C 73-77 C- 70-72 D+ 68-69 D 63-67
D- 60-62 F 59 or less
Calculating grades:
Grades are calculated based on the total points you earned during this course for all assignments, tests, projects and shop performance grades. This will be the same for quarter and semester grades. Letter grades will be based on the above grading scale.

Classroom Rules:
- This is your room, please take care of it.
- Be in your seat when the bell rings.
- Do not leave the room or shop without permission
- Respect the rights and property of all students.
- Be courteous and respectful at all times. You are representing all of us.
- My computer is off limits to all students.
- Go Green! Please put your waste paper in the grey recycling barrel.
- No student should be in my office without permission.
- Follow proper evacuation routes and procedures.
- Please do your part to keep the classroom in order. Push chairs in when leaving!
- No Cell phones in the classroom. They will be taken!! Also no ear buds.
- Do your best at all times, quality work is reflection about who you are.
- “The secret to life isn’t what happens to you, but what you do with what happens to you.” So think before you react.

- notebook dedicated for this class
- folder dedicated for this class
- pen/pencil
- safety glasses (can be purchased in the office, they must be in good usable condition, no dark lenses)
- A shop shirt or apron (provided) to protect clothes from oil and grease.

Other Procedures and Expectations:
- Bring all necessary materials with you every day. Notebook and folder, textbook, pencil or pen. Safety glasses when we start shop projects.
- Safety glasses must be worn at all times in the shop.
- You are responsible for getting missed work and notes due to an excused absence. You have one week to get work turned in for full credit.
- All assignments are due at the START of the hour.
- Extra credit will be given for any FFA activity that your participate in. Any other extra credit is based on my approval and the reason for the extra credit.
- Late work will only be given partial credit at 70% and must be turned in the next time class meets.
- A student may receive an extension on an assignment if unusual circumstances arise. This must be done prior to the due date.
- If you need assistance or have a concern that you wish to discuss, please come and see me. I have an open office policy, do not be afraid to come and see me. I am here to help you!
